Georgia

Another new Christmas guest arrived at the shelter… her name is Georgia and she is a female mule that was retired by her owner after providing him with over 30 years of tireless service. Georgia was greeted at the shelter gate by the usual welcome committee of Lupo and Libra and then entered the area of the Refuge for old and injured donkeys, horses and mules where she can enjoy a second chance in life without having to work or live under harsh conditions. Especially now that Greece is going through very hard economic pressure many owners give up their animals that cannot work or are simply companions as they are considered to be a luxury they can no longer afford. The shelter at the moment is full beyond its capacity but we try to make ends meet and accept every animal in need. If you are looking for an amazing companion pet please consider adopting a stray from Greece- all shelters are in need of help!
